We do not round your credits up, and here is what that is worth

Credit charges here are fractional and they are carried at full precision. A 5-second shot on the cheapest video model in the picker costs 2.94 credits and takes 2.94 credits off your balance. It does not take three.
Rounding each generation up to a whole credit is a common and almost invisible way for a credit system to charge more than it says it does, because nobody audits a rounding rule and every single generation pays the difference.
What rounding up actually takes
On a 2.94-credit shot, rounding up to 3 adds 0.06. Across the thirteen shots of a sixty-second episode that is 0.78 credits, which is roughly a quarter of another shot. Across a hundred episodes it is most of a whole episode's worth of video, taken in slices small enough that nobody ever sees one.
The worse case is the cheap models, because that is where the fraction is the largest share of the charge. Rounding punishes exactly the people being careful about what they spend.
The other half of the same idea
A price you cannot see before you commit to it is the same problem wearing different clothes. If the only way to learn what a run costs is to run it, then every budget you make is a guess and the platform is the only party that knows.
So the cost of the generation you are about to make is printed on the Generate button, before you confirm, every time. Change the model and the number changes in front of you. That is not a feature, it is the minimum honest behaviour for anything that spends your money on your behalf.
The complaint that comes up most about credit systems is not that credits are expensive. It is that people could not tell what they were spending until the balance had already moved.
How to check this on any platform
Note your balance. Run one cheap generation. Note it again. If the difference is a whole number on a job that should not cost a whole number, something is rounding.
Then look for the price before you confirm. If it is not on the button or next to it, ask where it is. Both of these take under a minute and they tell you more about how a platform treats you than any pricing page does.

Got questions left?
Why would anyone round up in the first place?
Because integers are easier to display and easier to store, and because the difference is small enough per generation that it never generates a complaint. Those are real engineering reasons and they are not good enough ones when the number is somebody else's money.
Does the price on the button include everything?
It is the cost of that generation, which is the unit you are charged in: one video shot, one image, or one voice pass. There is no separate episode charge anywhere in the product, so nothing is waiting to be added at the end.
What happens if a generation fails?
A failure on our side is not charged. That distinction and what sits either side of it is written out in full in the post on why a generation fails.
