Grok Video 1.5 Lite: 1.05 credits a second at 720p

xAI released Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite on October 1 and it is on the picker now as Grok Video 1.5 Lite, on every paid plan. It makes a clip from words alone, or opens a clip on a picture you connect.

At 720p it is 1.05 credits a second, against 4.9 on Grok Video 1.5. We checked both ways in against fal’s bill before writing this: 6 seconds at 720p from words billed $0.18, and 3 seconds at 480p from a picture billed $0.07, both to the cent. The picture at the top of this post is a frame of the second clip.
